It’s awesome. Great game, great characters, totally worth it.
Found the gameplay & storyline to be great. The IAP’s that take you back to Rapture are well worth it, especially pt. 2. Really enjoyed playing through several times.
This isn’t only the first Bioshock game I’ve ever played, it’s my first FPS. Amazing storyline, beautiful setting (a city in the sky), compelling characters (especially the fantastic Lutece twins), multiple fighting styles/strategies, and so many details and side stories that are easy to miss. If you play through the game as quickly as possible it probably wouldn’t take more than 8 hours to complete, but I spent over 12 hours trying to find everything, completeing side stories and just enjoying the atmosphere and graphics. Now that I’ve played the other Bioshock games, I can say that Infinate definitely deserves its place in the series! In my opinion, its just as amazing as the original. Edit: I wouldn’t recommend any of the downloadable content unless you’re obsessed with the game- they’re decent, just extremely short for the price.
Amazing game! One of THE best experiences I ever had with a game. *****
Love this game … including all the in-app purchases, but started having problems running it (Maybe after installing El Capitan), and decided to delete and re-download. I’ve tried about 10 times and have not been able to do so successfully. Refund??
Top notch game with incredible sound design by Jeff Seamster. I like to play it over and over again.
seriously, am i missing something here. this game took about 4 hours to beat. and the episode 1 dlc, took less than an hour. again, am i missing something here??
ok this game is my favorite game of all time! ok this game has the best story line ever you get attact to the characters in this game it would make you cry if anything happen to them the people who made this game work very hard unlike other games. this game has good detail in the graphics ok who made this game wanted to ace it. this is the type of game you will fall in love with and would buy all of the dlc that comes with it .
I haven’t really gotten to do much next gen gaming but if this is what much of it is like then i simply must do more. THis game is amazing from start to finish. On a maxxed out 2013 iMac it is just plain jawdroppingly gorgeous running at full res every step of the way. The storyline is deep and engaging and the action is just nonstop fun. I really can’t recommend this game more. I had none of the issues described by people. It downloaded and installed fine and never once quit on me. i just finished the main game and can’t wait to check out the expansion packs!
I have the other 2 DLCs and they are great. I am wondering if the Burial at Sea DLC will be available like it is on other platforms. Maybe the app has to update because it is not avail able to purchase after I launch the game. Anybody have any luck?
BenHoeppner if you go onto the Aspyr webstie they said a App version would come in the following few days after it was relased. BS i know ive been waiting as well and if you got your Bioshock game through the app store we have to wait for the app store versions of the dlc add ons. Buying them throgh anouther website that sells them for mac wont work, ive already tried and had to get a re fund for my money. Hope this helps
Just started the game, but at random intervals the screen will black out making it impossible to continue?!?!?!?!?! incredibly frustrating.
im easily obsessed with this game… just recently downloaded burial at sea 2 and enjoyed it until a bug caused me to have to redownload it. please fix!
Definitely give this a play.
I experienced the same thing as the user who posted a comment before me (mallewallah) concerning the bug that causes you to redownload BioShock Infinite. Seconds after downloading and installing Burial at Sea - Episode 2 for the first time, I received an error message that stated “BioShock Infinite is damaged and can’t be opened. Delete BioShock Infinite and download it again from the App Store” upon opening the game. So, I deleted BioShock Infinite and downloaded it again. My Internet connection is not the best, so this took most of the day. I easily receovered all my DLC purcahses by clicking the “Restore Purchases” button, and I was able to open BioShock Infinite and access Burial at Sea - Episode 2 from the Downloadable Content section. I played this DLC for about an hour before I decided to call it quits for the night, so I wasn’t up all night playing this game. When I tried to open BioShock Infinite again the next day, I received the same error message as stated earlier. The reason I gave Burial at Sea - Episode 2 one star for its rating is because of the bug issue I detailed above, which is a complete nuisance. From the hour worth of gameplay I experienced, I really enjoyed it and I look forward to progessing through the story line. I believe BioShock fans/gamers will enjoy it as well. At this time, I don’t recommend purchasing and downloading the Burial at Sea - Episode 2 DLC until this issue is resolved unless you plan on playing the DLC all the way through to completion in one sitting. Once you exit out of BioShock Infinite, you will not get back in without deleting and downloading the whole game again.
i don’t play this game too often but when i do i am always being prompted for an update, which wouldn’t be a problem if this app wasn’t 32GBs. by the time it downloads i have either no interest to play, or i have no time to play it. Don’t know why you cannot simple do an alpha update instead of downloading the entire app again. besides for the rediculously frequent updates this game is a lot of fun. Gameplay- 5 stars updates-2 P.S. You’ll need around 60GB to download, i know it is 32Gb but at least 60 is required.
Still no option to save manually. Therefore, there is still no reason to purchase Burial At Sea 2. Why did they bother updating this? If I could give it zero stars, I would. Whoever had the bright idea of leaving out a manual save option in this game should be fired and blacklisted from the gaming industry.
Love the game itself, awesome storyline, but DLC’s are extremely laggey on my laptop running on 2.53 GHz and lowest resolution
This compelling and amazing story kept me glued to my iMac. To admit, the look of Elizabeth in the screenshot available here made me not want to play the game as much. She looked… annoying. But I took the leap and bought it anyway. WOW was I impressed. The minute I saw Elizabeth in-game I knew I would love her, isn’t that weird? And she’s now easily one of my favorite characters of all time. The story is complex and remarkable. Just incredible. And the ending… I can’t give anything away but… wow. It not only makes your mind you backflips but makes you want to replay the whole thing for little details you may have missedm, to revisit things you may not have understood the value of your first time through. Remarkable game, should have won Best of 2013 over GTA5. You don’t need to play the first BioShocks to love this—in fact, I didn’t play them until I had finished Infinite, but I loved Infinite so much I just had to play the originals. There were a few references to Rapture (the underwater city of the original BioShocks) in Infinite but nothing too major. It’s just fun to recognize them after playing BioShock 1 and 2. The game installed and ran fine on my computer, all High graphics settings (the graphics look pretty sorry on the pre-set Low) with hardly any lag.
