Good game, Doesn’t run well

I’m not sure why, but the game either goes black on the menu screen or in the middle of playing. I spent $40 on this game and It doesn’t run. That’s frustrating. Please fix this!

Running El Capitan with 8GB of ram and regular Intel HD Graphics 3000 512 MB card.
